Hiya Unley Concert Band SA is definately going same as the Tea Tree Gully Redbacks and I've heard rumours that Onkaparinga City Concert Band will be going too. All in B grade. A great representation of concert bands from SA!!!!!!!!!!!!.

My band Unley came 2nd in B grade in 2007, recently won the VBL state champs for B grade this year in Ballarat and will be looking forward to Sydney next year.

So far i know that we (Port Mac Hastings) are going. C Grade

I have heard that Lane Cove are also going.

Looking back along the posts, i see that Unley are going, along with Tea Tree and maybe Onkaparinga.

Ive edited the original post to show a list on who's going.

City Band handed out copies of the test piece last year so they probably are too

Yeah B grade is starting to look like quite a competition. I'm pretty sure SWE and City Band are both doing A grade. Can anyone confirm that?

What band is SWE and City Band? Being on the north coast im not so familiar with the shorter names for bands!

SWE - State Schools Symphonic Wind Ensemble (high school kids from various state high schools conducted by Steve Williams)

City Band is the former City of Sydney Concert Band. They have just changed their name. I think they now call themselves Sydney Wind Symphony.

Ahhh...SWE (at least i think it was them) came up tom PMQ mid last year to do a concert with our Youth Band!

At last the list is out!

This should be a very good contest. Having the old rivalry between Hills Academy and Lane Cove on show in B Grade brings back memories of the good ol' days...

A Grade will be interesting. SSWE will be hard to beat as usual.
