I did a gig with a brass band playing in a shopping strip & did 3/4 of it with my then 2 1/2 year old on my lap. The locals loved it. The MD, not so happy!

Im getting images from the movie brassed off....trom player marching down the street with a kid sitting on his shoulders, and half the band with instruments in one hand, beer in another!

I've got an even bigger dose of panic now - I contacted another Band and only last week they finally said no. Less than two weeks to go and I have a Christmas Parade without a Band.
I think I will stop being a volunteer - it's too stressful.

Good thought Ben. We have a college about 25K away which has 3 or 4 Bands. They were recently in concert with James Morrison. Will contact them this morning.
BTW how are you - we have been out of touch for a while. Hope all is well.

Am at the moment doing the treasurers report for our monthly meeting. And would you believe it that there is 10 bloody cents i cant find!!!! Driving me crazy!!

Have just contacted Trinity College and had a response from the Secretary who is handing my request on to the Head of Music. Here's hoping!!!!!
