Australian Concert Bands

I look at Spitvalve as well as this site - I enjoy all Bands. Have not been able to access it last night or this morning. Does anyone know what is happening with it?
I get the following message,

it should be all fixed now. Apparently there was a problem with the automatic login. Mine is working now though.

I dont use auto login on SV - thats prob why it was working for me!

Maybe you coudn't get into SP because of an all in brawl going on in there.. Those guys really get stuck into each other and I know at least 4 people in there that have 3 different aliases so they can stir things up...
I know one of my entries was deleted because I offered to deck a certain someone in there when I saw him..
At least we have peace and harmony in Bens' site. (so far)

Takes me all my time keeping up with what is going on - to have other names as well would just be too much. Why stir up bother anyway?

The last one i read that was sorta heated was the debate about qualifying for nats

So far? Cmon Hornists...Stir us up lolol. But i agree, we have a positive feeling all over here. Some topics on SV get a bit...well, dicey!

No doubt that when we have as many members as SV, some discussions will get a bit heated at time. But hey, isnt that what a forum is about?!

Discussion and debate are good, but it seems that it can become a vendetta at times in some forums. It is a pity when it does as it no longer remains constructive. I consider this forum and SV to be set up for the good of Banding but some of the Members do not seem to wish their Bands to progress, and certainly have no respect for other Bands. I wish they would "get a life"!!!

That's a very bad thing. When people cover their identity on forums such as this, things start to get messy. I can understand why you might prefer not to write who you are in a signature (like I do), but anonimity leads to people saying things they may not say in the real world. The brass band I play in has copped alot of stick on SV by people whose identity is a mystery to everyone. Not only is this gutless, but is not progressive for the band movement.

It seems that most people on this forum have identified themselves, or at least the band they play with, which is very good.
