Hi Everyone,
I am a member of the Port Macquarie band and have loved it. The band has been going for about 25 years but i have only been a member for 5. Recently our band was upgraded from D grade to C grade which was great news.
We then decided to go to the State Championships that happened last weekend in Penrith in Sydney. This was the first time our band had competed in the State Championships in C grade, so it when the results were read out we all got a huge shock when we realised our band had won!
It was just the best feeling in the world. I personally would like to thank our MD for making us work so hard so that we sounded great and i also would like to thank everyone who not only played in the band but came along to support us. It was a great weekend and i'm sure no one will easily forget us.
CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE!!! C-GRADE STATE CHAMPS!!!

It was a great experience! Only my 2nd time at state, and i loved it!
Well done though to all the bands that competed in all grades!
