A forum where announcements from the NSW Band Association are posted

IN THE BEGINNING

Thanks for setting up this section on the forum Ben.

I'm not sure (or prepared to say) how often I will be able to post announcements, but there are some exciting initiatives being developed by the Management Committee and I expect most of them will come to fruition in the New Year.

Currently I am working on preparing a Secretary's Manual. In some ways I am sorry I started doing this as it is taking so much time, but it would be good to get this finished asap, get the committee to approve it and have it ready in a week or two. Carolyn Gould (Castle Hill RSL) put the first edition together for a Secretary's Workshop, and I am refining and adding to what Carolyn prepared hopefully to produce a reference manual that will assist band secretary's.

One item that I can announce is that BANSW is looking for someone to update http://www.bandnsw.com on a regular basis. The committee is willing to pay for professional services so if there is anyone out there that is interested please let me know.

BANSW office will be closed on Friday 24th November until Tuesday 4th as I am heading west and north on a bit of a holiday.
