Free downloadable music

Postby Hornist on Tue Sep 18, 2007 2:50 pm

There is a site on the internet that I have been using for a while and supplies free downloadable concert and brass band music. A lot of it you have to pay for but I have dowloaded heaps of free concert band stuff for my school bands.
The site is SibeliusMusic.com.
Go there and click on the concert and brass music section.

Another one i have found is http://www.soundclick.com

This site doesnt give you written music, but is a site where bands can upload mp3's to share with the world

I have found some great music on this site, and a lot of it has made its way into my collection!

Other good sites for actual music downloads are the American Marine Band (Prsidents Own) the US Navy Band, US Air Force Band and ther US Army Band. I have burned several CD's with their music.

Here are three good sites
US Marine Band http://www.marineband.usmc.mil/

Altissimo http://www.military.com/

US Air Force Band http://www.usafband.com/recording_Mp3.htm

For the Navy and Army Bands, just type in US Navy Band and US Army band in your search engine

Happy hunting
