Postby Hornist on Sat Sep 15, 2007 9:16 am

I am going to Brisbane with a brass band where I play tenor horn, but so far I am not playing with a concert band up there. Any offers anyone? 100 years experience playing french horn so I know the stuff..hahaha

Hi Hornist, I played alongside you with South Pacific at the states! North West Wind Ensemble are definitely going to the Nationals and at the moment we only have 3 horns. We'd be very happy for a player of your calibre to join us!

I would be more than happy if we ever had 3 horns at rehearsal!!! :)

Hornist, if we go to the nationals we might just have to hire you again. Infact you and Mattl made a great team!!

Let me know if you go, I'll be there anyway with a brass band. You only rehearse five minutes from me anyway. The Wednesday night rehearsals are the killer, Wednesday is my only night home.

Hey cliffy, feel free to call me if you'd like me to play with you guys again in Brisbane. I'll be up there anyway, and I'd be more than happy to help out again!

Hi Hornist.
I know of a concert band down Sutherland way that would gladly like to have you play with them for the Nationals. I know the usual section leader would most likely be happy to have you sitting next to her.
We haven't fuly committed to going yet but the offer is there. We will be back in B grade for Nationals.

The trouble with sitting next to this particular horn player you mention, I don't get many notes in as she is gorgeous and I miss too many note dribbling....
