Solo and Party events

Postby wittlenix on Thu Feb 05, 2009 10:57 pm

I was wondering if there was anyone else entering solo and party events at Nationals this year. Concert solo numbers are always down every year so it would be really nice to have some good competition.

So who's entering?

I'm on the list for open horn but don't think I'll end up performing.

Can't find a recording of the piece and don't want to take a day off work to get rolled.

A player from our Band has entered on solo clarinet - she was a little surprised that there are so many entries in her section this year (apparently up to 9 or something) as it is usually only 2 or 3!

This is our band's first foray into the solo and party championships for many many years (>>15) and we wish her all the best!

Cheers.
One of these days I'll get the hang of these things.....
