been sitting back and watching all these pieces chosen. They might be the pieces that you like personally but a after working in a proffesional concert band for over 30 years, if you play that stuff out on the job, the people would walk away. Sorry.

Hey Hornist

Remember the comment the adjudicator made at State last year?

Most bands played stuff like oregon or in our case, The Saint and the City as their own choice.

Bathurst RSL Band played a Sinatra medley and got really great applause for it.

But - as the adjudicator said, people will always love songs they recognise from the radio, or is familiar to them in some way!

Moral of the story - not a good choice for a state contest lol
