Can I nominate my son for the Trumpet section? I am trying to get him to join but he is so busy trying to finish his PHD and all the other things he does he hasn't actually joined as yet. He is the current National Trumpet Champion so I think he would pass your audition. :)

I think that I am an obvious choice for trumpet - 3rd that is!! - everyone who knows me knows that 3rd is my choice...but would also go for French Horn or Eupho..

Can I change my suggestion for a position for my son? As he is the MD of the Police Rangers Concert Band in SA and has taken them to State Champions in A Grade for the last two years, perhaps he could be considered for MD of the new special Band? I haven't asked him by the way.

MD?!?! Whats that?!

Reminds me of a joke

Why is playing without a conductor like having sex without a condom?!

Definately safer with one, but more fun without!!
