Anyone going to the ABODA Conference this year? Apparently not, because the uptake for delegates has been so disappointing that the event has been cancelled - or so the rumour mill suggests.
Another nail in the coffin for bands, eh?

ABODA stands for the Australian Band and Orchestra Directors Association. This organisation has various state-based chapters, similar to ANCA (choral association) and ASME (society for music education). The most active branches have been Vic, NSW, and Qld - WA also has an active chapter.
The national conference is a major focal point for activity - very bad that this won't happen...
